For where your treasure
is, there will your heart be also.

EdwinsThink.blogspot.com debuted with
the article, Entrepreneurial Success And The Profoundness of Thought on the 7th of March, 2017. In that
article I tried to make the point that success in entrepreneurship depends,
partly, on the depth of thinking preceding the entrepreneur’s actions and
activities. I did not mean or say that the mere depth of thought, devoid of the
energy to execute, would be strong enough to bring about stellar performance of
any kind. In simple terms I had in my head the role of a well-articulated
vision/mission of an organisation, as framed by its founder. However, in the
absence of a mission/vision statement the founder’s externalised inner
convictions or those of other founders suffices.
In this regard I have compiled 10 of
such thought frames that continue to explain, among others, the extraordinary
performance levels of some of the world’s leading entrepreneurial efforts. - There is only one definition of business purpose: to create a customer.----Peter Drucker, 1909—2005.
- We are not going to make customers pay for our inefficiencies.----Jeff Bezos
- We are here to put a dent in the universe, otherwise why even be here.----Steve Jobs, 1955---2011.
- The essence of strategy is choosing what not to do.----Michael Porter.
- Alibaba is not a job. It is a mission.----Jack Ma.
- People are not your most important assets. The Right persons are----Jim Collins
- The business of business is business.----Alfred Sloan, 1875---1966.
- We want Google to be the third half of your brain.----Sergey Brin
- How you gather, manage, and use information will determine whether you win or lose.----Bill Gates.
- There are times at which it is right not to listen to customers.----Clayton Christensen.
